Visited a new lifestyle center that is located on the outskirts of the Seletar Hills Estate last Thursday. The overall character of the mall feels strikingly similar to Singapore’s myVillage at Serangoon Garden and Hong Kong’s newly revamped Stanley Plaza, be it the building’s design, the tai tai (a rich & married woman whom does not work) tenants, the artiness, the use of natural materials (wood & greenery), boutique-sized mall and etc.
I enjoy going to life centers. The vibe is relaxing, its usually uncrowded, the shoppers are not crude, the tenants are not pushy, the layout is uncomplicated and there’s always a rooftop garden or something equivalent. The minus points are the tenants are limited and usually of an upscale kind, which means I usually go there for the atmosphere and return home empty handed. Lol.
